Leonard's is always a classic and must-visit spot when I'm on the islands. Their malasadas are always piping-hot fresh, delicious and worth the long wait! My favorites are the cinnamon sugar, original and custard-filled. Parking can be a bit difficult to navigate, but other than that, I will always find time to come back here!

These are basically filled donuts. Were extremely delicious. We got the half dozen with guava, custard, chocolate, and cinammon sugar flavors. They were made to order and warm a d super soft they melt in your mouth. They were pretty big. I was expecting like donut holes but they were huge. A must when in Hawaii.

OH MY GOSH, this is not a hype! The Malasadas are freshly cooked after you order, still warm to touch when eating it, very soft and fluffy doughs. Also the filling inside is delicious and is not over powering, not too sweet and not artificial in flavour. Staff at the counter were patient and nice as-well.. OVERALL a MUST TRY place! ⭐️👏👏👏

Gloriousness in a baked pastry! Our favs are the guava and macadamia nut ones but hey, picking a fav is like picking a favorite child. You cannot go wrong! The wait is never bad, it might look worse than it is. And a small price to pay for your order to be made fresh and hot! Eat these right away. Don’t even wait. And don’t sleep on the Sunrise Shack next door! Tip for parking, go 2 blocks up/north and hang a right. You will see a super cool Honolulu wall to take a pic on your way in!

Best malasadas! Love how they make everything fresh to order. But this means a longer wait. It was worth it though. Hot and fluffy, gooey filling. Guava was my fave!

The best malasadas that you can buy in Hawaii! This is a legendary spot to taste the the best malasadas you'll ever have! It's always crowded. The customer service is great and everything is always hand-delivered fresh to you. When you take a bite it literally melts in your mouth. They have a variety of selections with different feelings you can choose from, or you can get the original with no filling. The choice is yours, they also have cold coffees that are really good. This is a dessert that you must try while you're in Hawaii! World famous Leonard's!

Okay, I'm still not sure what malasadas are... I read their description before visiting, but they sound like donut holes me. With that's said, everyone talks about this place upon arrival to the island, and as a "mainlander," I would be doing myself a great disservice if I didn't stop by. I'll start with the atmosphere, which isn't car friendly. If you can avoid driving a car to get here, you're probably going to be better off than most of the people you see. The parking lot can be politely described as "minimalist" at best, and probably semi-nonexistant at worst. There are only about six spaces available, and when combined with the lots one way sign, you're bound to see a line of confused driver circling the block. Beyond the parking situation, the atmosphere leaves a bit more to be desired when it comes to seating. Upon arrival, you'll probably notice a large amount of people crowded around the pickup window eating their order. The location's seating arrangements can be described as mirroring their views on park spots—minimalistic. The end result of all of these factors is that visitors whose groups include kids or disabled might find the atmosphere challenging. Outside of the previously mentioned aspects, it's exactly what you would expect from a bakery. A big display case filled with treats, the smell of fresh baked bread, and a lot of people with a bit of a sugar high. The service was impeccable, as you can tell when an establishment is accustomed to dealing with a crowd. The orders go in quickly and come out just as fast, as an endless stream of people line up at opening. Obviously, the treat most people are there to order is their famous malasadas. As far as my order is concerned, I was obviously there to do the same. I can't say wether all the hype is deserving, but the flavors definitely hit. I would definitely rank them among my take pastry treats, but as far as form and function are concerned, they are pretty indistinguishable from the aforementione

Leonard’s Bakery is an absolute must-visit in Hawaii! The malasadas are fresh, warm, and perfectly fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The service was quick and friendly despite the crowd, and the prices are very reasonable for such iconic treats. The classic vibe of the place makes the experience even better. I tried a few different fillings and each one was delicious. Definitely worth the wait and a spot I would happily return to again!

Absolutely fantastic malasadas that.... dare I say... are among the best filled donuts I've had? They're fried fresh when you prefer which makes sense considering the line of people always waiting. The dough is not the type of super light, wonderbread level airy, but it has an awesome level of chew that contrasts with the crispy exterior. Neither the filling nor the dough itself is overly sweet and that's just plain awesome. One thing is that I would recommend most of the other fillings other than chocolate. The chocolate one is similar to a Jell-O chocolate pudding and isn't for everyone. Macadamia nut filling takes the win for me.

This famous bakery serves the most delicious malasadas! This little spot has been around since 1952 and has never changed its method of making their incredible Portuguese style donuts. Even if the line seems long, it moves quickly and is worth trying if it’s you’re first time in Honolulu. We tried the custard, chocolate, coconut, and guava fillings. My favorites were the custard and guava, but all the donuts were fried to perfection and filled with creamy goodness. Definitely do not miss Leonard’s during your stay in Oahu!
